Redwater  — Redwater RCMP execute warrant and locate wanted male

On Jan. 23, 2024, at approximately 12 p.m., Redwater RCMP, with the assistance of Westlock RCMP and Athabasca RCMP as well as RCMP Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit, Police Dog Services, Integrated Offender Management Unit and Eastern Alberta General Investigation Services executed a warrant at a rural residence in Thorhild County, Alta. The warrant was issued following an investigation into an aggravated assault that occurred on July 30, 2023.

Foothills County — Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigates homicide - Update

On March 30, 2023, the body of Tara Miller (37), a resident of Calgary, was located near Highway 522 and 128 Street near Okotoks, Alta. The cause of death was deemed to be a homicide, and the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit were called in to investigate. On Jan. 18, 2024, Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit, assisted by the Calgary Police Service and the RCMP Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit, arrested four people for the murder of Tara. A 30-year-old individual, a resident of Calgary, has been charged with the following:

Red Deer — Red Deer RCMP Crime Reduction Team arrest prolific offenders

On Dec. 14, 2023, the Red Deer RCMP Crime Reduction Team (CRT) arrested and charged two individuals following a stolen property investigation. Red Deer RCMP CRT observed a suspicious vehicle attend two separate businesses within Red Deer and steal wheels off vehicles at these businesses. RCMP were able to stop and arrest the two individuals from the suspicious car. During the arrest, one of the suspects threw a backpack, which police recovered. The backpack contained multiple cell phones, cash, and drugs.

Samson Cree Nation — Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigate homicide in Maskwacis

On Jan. 28, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. Maskwacis RCMP received a report of an injured individual on 6 Mile Road, north of Highway 611. Emergency crews transported the victim to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The circumstances of the victim's death are considered suspicious. The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has taken carriage of the investigation. The victim has been taken to the Edmonton Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and an autopsy is anticipated today.

Airdrie — Airdrie RCMP investigate armed robbery

On Jan. 20, 2024, at 12:44 a.m., Airdrie RCMP received a report of an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven located at 2002 Luxstone Boulevard in Airdrie. The suspect fled the area on foot, heading westbound on Yankee Valley Boulevard. Airdrie RCMP is seeking public assistance in identifying the suspect, which is described as:
