Update 15: Alberta wildfire information update (July 19, 3:30 p.m.) Saturday 20 July 2024 12:24 AM UTC+00 The Municipal District of Opportunity has declared a state of local emergency and issued an evacuation order for residents of Chipewyan Lake. About 89 residents have now evacuated. Extreme heat will continue to drive significant wildfire activity in the coming days. |
