Strong winds, large hail and heavy rain are also possible. Thunderstorms may develop in the foothills later this afternoon. If they develop, they will become severe with very large hail, very strong winds, and a risk of a tornado. ### This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. Tornado watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce tornadoes. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible. There are two thunderstorms that are possibly producing tornadoes. One thunderstorm is located 15 km west Morningside, travelling approximately along Highway 604. The other thunderstorm is just east of Bentley, travelling approximately along Highway 12. Baseball-sized hail or larger is also possible with both thunderstorms. ### This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation.
