Upon determining the vehicle was stolen, responding officers requested assistance from the Alberta Real Time Operations Centre (RTOC), RCMP Police Dog Services (PDS) for a tactical vehicle intervention technique (TVIT), and deployed a tire deflation device (TDD). Cold Lake — Cold Lake RCMP request assistance identifying armed robbery suspects Thursday 04 April 2024 02:30 PM UTC+00 | Tags: alberta On April 3, 2024, at approximately 7 p.m., Cold Lake RCMP received a report of an armed robbery at the Fas Gas on 50Street in Cold Lake. Mayerthorpe — Mayerthorpe RCMP seize drugs after roadside stop Monday 08 April 2024 01:45 PM UTC+00 | Tags: alberta On April 4, 2024, Mayerthorpe RCMP responded to a driving complaint on Highway 43, near the town of Mayerthorpe, where a vehicle with substantial body damage was reported as driving at high rate of speed. Mayerthorpe RCMP located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop with a lone occupant. This road-side interaction quickly evolved into a drug investigation, where the occupant was arrested without incident. Tags:

Whitecourt — Whitecourt RCMP arrests prolific property offenders Monday 15 April 2024 03:00 PM UTC+00 | Tags: alberta On April 11, 2024, Whitecourt RCMP were advised of a series of break-ins at a rural oilfield plant on Windfall Road. At the time of the call, RCMP was advised that the suspects were still on site with a rented transport truck. A multi-unit response, including Whitecourt RCMP General Duty and Roving Traffic Unit (RTU), attended the scene. Three offenders were located and arrested in the rented truck by Whitecourt RCMP RTU after they left the scene. The truck contained stolen materials from the plant. Tags:

Beaverlodge — Beaverlodge RCMP requests public assistance in identifying suspect Thursday 28 March 2024 02:45 PM UTC+00 | Tags: alberta On March 8, 2024, at approximately 11:08 a.m., Beaverlodge RCMP was advised of a theft that occurred on March 7, 2024, at 6:12 p.m., at a building on 2 Avenue in Beaverlodge. Footage obtained revealed a male suspect exiting the passenger side of a dark coloured SUV, accessing the driver side of the victim's vehicle and stealing several items. The suspect then returned to the dark SUV and left the area. Among the stolen items were credit cards, which were used at several businesses in Grande Prairie, Alta., including Home Depot, Walmart and a liquor store. Tags:

Grande Prairie — Alberta RCMP issue warning in wake of recent fentanyl overdoses - Update Friday 19 April 2024 02:00 PM UTC+00 | Tags: alberta On April 16, 2024, Grande Prairie RCMP received a report from Health Canada regarding a drug that had been seized on Feb. 28, 2024. A large quantity of this drug was seized following a suspected fatal overdose. In the wake of this report, Alberta RCMP is issuing a warning to the public. The drug contained Fluorofentanyl mixed with Bromazolam, which is a benzodiazepine, and the first recorded instance of Bromazolam in Alberta. The analyzed drug was oval in size, stamped with "20" and "SS," though it can come in other forms. Tags:

County of Minburn — Vermillion RCMP seize drugs after roadside stop Tuesday 09 April 2024 01:30 PM UTC+00 | Tags: alberta On April 7, 2024, at approximately 6 p.m., Vermilion RCMP proactively conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for littering while travelling on Highway 16 in the County of Minburn. Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver of the vehicle did not possess a driver's licence. Drugs were observed within the vehicle, which led to the arrest of both occupants. Further search located a significant quantity of drugs, including over 500 grams of cocaine. As a result of this investigation, a 38-year-old individual, a resident of Lloydminster, Alta., was charged with: Tags:

Camrose — Camrose Police Service and Wetaskiwin RCMP team up to arrest repeat offenders Friday 12 April 2024 01:45 PM UTC+00 | Tags: alberta On April 10, 2024, at approximately 8 a.m., officers of the Camrose Police Service, while investigating a report of theft of fuel, observed a suspicious Ford F350. As the officer turned around to catch up to the suspect vehicle, it immediately fled at a high rate of speed. Officers were able to maintain a visual and observed the truck as it stopped along a tree line on Range Road 210 and Township road 472. Camrose Police set up containment in the area and asked the RCMP for assistance. Tags:
