Stettler — Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigates homicide in Stettler Monday 26 February 2024 04:15 PM UTC+00 | Tags: alberta On Feb. 25, 2024, at 8:14 a.m., Stettler RCMP received a report from EMS of an unconscious male in an apartment. RCMP attended and located the male deceased. RCMP believe the circumstances around the death are suspicious and have activated the Alberta Major Crimes Unit to investigate. The deceased has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Calgary where an autopsy is anticipated to take place tomorrow. Tags:

Suspects stole copper wire from both yards. In both cases a maroon four door car was captured on video surveillance. Fort McMurray — Wood Buffalo RCMP request assistance in identifying a robbery suspect Tuesday 20 February 2024 01:45 PM UTC+00 | Tags: alberta Wood Buffalo RCMP are requesting assistance from the public to identify a suspect in relation to a robbery in Fort McMurray. On Feb. 17, 2024, an unknown male proceeded to shop at the Save-On Foods located in the 100 block of Riverstone Ridge in the community of Timberlea. The male collected items and at approximately 6 p.m., left the store without paying. An employee from the business followed the suspect out of the store and approached him asking him to return to pay for the groceries. The suspect then threatened to shoot the employee. Tags:

Wetaskiwin — Wetaskiwin RCMP Crime Reduction Unit lay drug charges Thursday 15 February 2024 02:00 PM UTC+00 | Tags: alberta Feb. 5 and Feb. 10, 2024, Wetaskiwin RCMP Crime Reduction Unit engaged in an operation related to suppression of drug related criminal activity. The suppression aimed at targeting offenders engaged in the trafficking and possession of controlled substances in Wetaskiwin and Wetaskiwin County. Wetaskiwin Crime Reduction Unit was able to seize suspected Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, and Cocaine, which resulted in several charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and the Criminal Code. Wetaskiwin — Wetaskiwin Crime Reduction Unit charge repeat offender with drug trafficking Monday 19 February 2024 02:00 PM UTC+00 | Tags: alberta On Feb. 16, 2024, the Wetaskiwin RCMP Crime Reduction Unit identified a repeat offender operating a motor vehicle. Officers conducted surveillance of the vehicle and observed a different repeat offender in the vehicle who had outstanding warrants. A traffic stop was conducted, and the passenger with outstanding warrant was arrested. After a subsequent investigation, a search of the vehicle was conducted where officers located quantities of Methamphetamine, Fentanyl and GHB.
