Wednesday 31 January 2024 12:17 AM UTC+00 There is an out of control fire at an oil lease site located 23 km southeast of Mannville. Crude oil is burning, and toxic smoke is being produced. The smoke is dangerous if inhaled. Area: (This alert is in effect for everyone in the area between hwy 41 and hwy 870; south of Vermillion or Innisfree, and North of Wainright. ) |

Foothills County — Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigates homicide - Update Monday 22 January 2024 08:30 PM UTC+00 | Tags: alberta On March 30, 2023, the body of Tara Miller (37), a resident of Calgary, was located near Highway 522 and 128 Street near Okotoks, Alta. The cause of death was deemed to be a homicide, and the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit were called in to investigate. On Jan. 18, 2024, Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit, assisted by the Calgary Police Service and the RCMP Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit, arrested four people for the murder of Tara. Red Deer — Red Deer RCMP Crime Reduction Team arrest prolific offenders Wednesday 24 January 2024 08:30 PM UTC+00 | Tags: alberta On Dec. 14, 2023, the Red Deer RCMP Crime Reduction Team (CRT) arrested and charged two individuals following a stolen property investigation. Red Deer RCMP CRT observed a suspicious vehicle attend two separate businesses within Red Deer and steal wheels off vehicles at these businesses. RCMP were able to stop and arrest the two individuals from the suspicious car. During the arrest, one of the suspects threw a backpack, which police recovered. The backpack contained multiple cell phones, cash, and drugs. Tags:

Samson Cree Nation — Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigate homicide in Maskwacis Monday 29 January 2024 09:30 PM UTC+00 | Tags: alberta On Jan. 28, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. Maskwacis RCMP received a report of an injured individual on 6 Mile Road, north of Highway 611. Emergency crews transported the victim to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The circumstances of the victim's death are considered suspicious. The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has taken carriage of the investigation. The victim has been taken to the Edmonton Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and an autopsy is anticipated today. Tags:
