Parkland County — Central Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit arrest repeat offender in Parkland County

On June 5, 2024, officers from the Central Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit (CAD CRU) attended a property in Parkland County in order to locate and arrest a repeat offender with warrants. RCMP obtained a warrant to enter the property and arrest the suspect. Upon approaching the property, RCMP observed the suspect brandishing a shot gun. When advised he was under arrest, the suspect threatened police and went in a stolen camper trailer still holding the firearm.
