Fort McMurray — Wood Buffalo RCMP request assistance in identifying a robbery suspect

Wood Buffalo RCMP are requesting assistance from the public to identify a suspect in relation to a robbery in Fort McMurray. On Feb. 17, 2024, an unknown male proceeded to shop at the Save-On Foods located in the 100 block of Riverstone Ridge in the community of Timberlea. The male collected items and at approximately 6 p.m., left the store without paying. An employee from the business followed the suspect out of the store and approached him asking him to return to pay for the groceries. The suspect then threatened to shoot the employee.
