Bear Hills — Central Alberta RCMP Detachments apprehend subject in stolen vehicle

On April 6, 2024, at 6:10 p.m., Wetaskiwin RCMP located a stolen GMC 1-ton vehicle at the Bear Hills truck stop in Bear Hills. Upon determining the vehicle was stolen, responding officers requested assistance from the Alberta Real Time Operations Centre (RTOC), RCMP Police Dog Services (PDS) for a tactical vehicle intervention technique (TVIT), and deployed a tire deflation device (TDD).
