On July 7, 2024, the Wetaskiwin RCMP Crime Reduction Unit observed a vehicle being operated by an individual believed to be under a driving suspension. A traffic stop was conducted; during that time officers performed a search under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act. A large quantity of Fentanyl, Methamphetamine and Cocaine was located in the vehicle. As a result of the investigation, RCMP have charged a 29-year-old individual and a 36-year-old individual, both residents of Leduc, Alta., with:
