Cochrane — Cochrane RCMP seeking witnesses or video footage of a sudden death at Barriere Lake

On July 13, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Cochrane RCMP received a report of a sudden death at Barriere Lake, off of Highway 40 in Kananaskis, Alta. Upon arrival, emergency workers attempt to assist a 52-year-old female victim who died on scene. The victim's cause of death is still under investigation. While RCMP continue to investigate, we are seeking witnesses or video footage from cell phones or dash cameras that may have captured the events leading up to the incident or after.
