Kananaskis — Kananaskis RCMP search for missing hiker

On Aug. 12, 2024, just before 10 a.m., Kananaskis RCMP received a report of a 24-year-old missing hiker in the Kananaskis area. RCMP alerted Kananaskis Emergency Services (KES) who advised that a conservation officer was already en route to the area in order to locate the trail head where the hiker may have started. RCMP were alerted shortly thereafter that the missing person's vehicle was located.
